I have no idea if this'll be the style that I'll keep for this section of the portfolio, but at least I got to practice painting.

These are just sketches.  I'll clean 'em up and splash on some color

On this next one, the pose to the right look really wonky.  I tried to tweak it in photoshop, but it still looks bad.  I think I'll just scrap it.

I tried my best to implement the things from your paintover.  The jacket and arms will be the next big hurdle.

Wesley Tippetts - Milestone...umm...whatever

For this class, I'd like to do visual development for my Krimson Mask story.  

This is the main character, Nikolai.

For the portfolio, I'd like to have a decent character painting.  I haven't done very much painting, so I'd love some feedback.

 I started messing around with another skin tone.  Something more pale and desaturated.

This is a template I'll use to design some different hairstyles.

 Nikolai's body is covered with tattoos from when he was in the space army.  I'm going to explore some different tattoo designs.  The text on the side will be included.

Wesley Tippetts: Milestone 1? - Pitch + Style Guide

This is a project I've been thinking about for a while.  For this class, I'd like to do more visual development for the project and explore the designs of the world and the characters.

...also I wanna draw spaceships and robots, because I freakin' love that.

These are the main characters.  Nikolai is the hero, Katya is his sister that needs saving, Vitaly is Nikolai's buddy and sidekick and Borovskii is the bad guy.

Here's the style guide.  I would've liked more time to go into what I've got planned for this, but the darn student film is sucking up a lot of my time (Justin Kunz: "EXCUSES WESLEY! EXCUSES!"  

Wesley: "Yah...I know")  Anyways, hopefully this is descriptive enough...
